Updating DST changes on your POSdriver with Windows Updates:
(This works only for Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and you must have broadband internet access on your POSdriver)

1. Verify your Windows version and Service Pack level by clicking "Start", then "Run", and typing in "winver" (without the quotes), then click "OK".  The window that pops up should state that you are running Windows version 5.1 and in parenthesis state Service Pack 2.  If both of these statements are not see in the window you can not update your system in this way.

Do not proceed while your business is open!  Only perform the following steps after you close for the day or well before you open as it may take a while.
2. Make sure you are viewing the POSdriver screen.  This is the one that runs the "Spcwin" program.  If you know this is one of your touchscreens, you will use the keyboard and hit [Alt]+[F4] so you can view the desktop.

3. Close any open programs including Spcwin.

4. Click "Start", then click "Windows Update" and follow the prompts to apply all critical patches and updates.

5. Once all the patches and updates have been applied you should reboot the computer by clicking "Start", then "Shutdown" and choose the option to "Reboot".
